Lazy Sunday shoot with Mia, who’s 32 and originally from Brisbane. Super bubbly girl, she’s a bit of a brain, louder than life and a total tom boy. We clicked right away, and ended up chatting for ages before shooting. Shooting was like hanging out too. A bit of Grand Theft Auto and just general dagging about!

Had an amaaaaazing shoot with Cam yesterday, who I’ve kept in touch with but not seen ever since our first shoot back in September last year. Time flies!!! We’ve managed to postpone more than a few catch ups but both of us made it happen today for shoot #2. Cam brought her boyfriend Ray along, who’s an apprentice tattoo artist. Was fun hanging out with the both of them. I even had a go at shooting both of them together just for lols.

We spent a little time today with Zen Babe Krysti, who’s FINALLY gotten her Turugi Racing Bilbo’s on! They’re awesome, fat tyres and with a little drop (which is coming) this KE55 will be just about done (for now!).

A Facebook friend has been messaging me for a little while to shoot his girl friend, who’s shot with other photographers before, but this guy’s a fan of my work and wanted to see her shot by me.
It’s not the first time a guy has gotten in touch with me to shoot his girl, and it’s tame in comparison to some of the stranger enquiries I’ve had to date so far, but it still makes me giggle. Gotta love it, right?!
Jess brought some really elaborate body chains to the shoot. Some worth well into the thousands! She also brought a lot of energy and like the more experienced models I’ve shot, Jess just never stopped busting out shapes with her body (which she’s super comfortable with!).
A fair few shots turned out a little too hot, and didn’t make it to the final set, but I’m really happy with how the shots turned out and I’ve got a feeling Jess and I will be shooting again soon!

Resident Zen Artist now Zen Babe. Krysti’s mad about art and cars, she’s a tomboy, but she’s also a lady! We went for a hike recently and came across these enchanted woods. Krysti instantly had a shoot in mind, her in her grandmother’s snow white outfit, rays of light, we both had the same vision so a week later we returned to our newfound location and these shots are the result. We’re both so happy with the end results! Krysti’s finally turned her face on for my lens (her selfie game is strong but she’s shy in front of anyone else’s camera!). Hope you love them as much as we do!

I had Melbourne based Model/DJ Amanda Sierras over for a slumber party last week. Such a mad chika! Super smart, super hot and super driven (she’s just about to fly over to Dubai for a 4 month DJ contract!). Just like high school slumber parties, instead of going straight to bed we ended up talking and laughing till the early hours. The next morning we were both a bit buggered, but we shot all day and here are the results! Hope you like!

Lazy Thursday morning a friend of mine came over for a shoot. The weather was miserable so it was sure to be indoors, but eventually around lunch the sun peaked through the clouds and light beamed through the window shutters for some beautiful soft lighting which turned out to be perfect for the look I was after. Finally got to shoot with Danie Kara yesterday. I’ve bumped into Danie more than a few times in the past few years. She drives a modified EVO, she’s into Kicks, she’s addicted to ink and hangs out with Ian Baker a bit, so a shoot was inevitable?!
The shoot was awesome. I knew she was going to be a mad girl to talk to and shoot with. I’m now in a situation where I’ve got lots of similar images, and I’m having a hard time choosing which ones to edit!

I went to support Nanami who was invited to be a part of a panel discussion at this year’s inaugural CURVY Women’s Creative Conference at aMBUSH, Central Park.
There were 8 women on the panel and the topic was “The Art of making it”. The session kicked off with everyone introducing themselves with their story on how they got to where they are now (Nana’s story was particularly awesome, it really came from the heart).
Topics touched on Art vs. Design, making a living doing what you love. Having to do your time with crap work to make ends meet/gain experience. Business; Art schools should teach business, how to invoice, connections to legal help with agreements, etc. The topic of kids and a lack of time was brought up too; priority shifts as well as success stories of mothers who are creative directors at the top of their game. Social media, Instagram, how do Artists keep up with the pace of social media marketing. Advertising targeted specifically at women, connectivity, ultimately a lot was brought up in such a short period of time!

Hung out and shot with Bri today, a model from New York who’s agency represented (I feel lucky when models with management want to shoot with me in their spare time!).
She brought it! My lens couldn’t keep up with how she moved.
Post shoot and post conversations with Bri I find myself a little inspired to travel more at some point in my life. I’ve visited so many places, but not lived out of Sydney before. It’s got to happen!
